Mauricio Alejandro Sobarzo Sobarzo filed a recurso de protección against Caja de Compensación de Asignación Familiar Los Andes, arguing that the payment of a disability subsidy was made to his bank account which was blocked due to a precautionary measure in a criminal case. He requested the payment be made by vale vista or other means that guarantee effective collection. The Caja responded that they paid according to the beneficiary's information and were not notified of the blockade. The court determined that the Caja acted within its legal obligations and that the blockade originated from a judicial decision not attributable to the Caja. Therefore, the recourse was dismissed without costs.
